About Katja’s Place

A service built with purpose

Katja’s Place was established in 2021 by Cameron Griffiths in memory of his close friend and colleague, Katja Attwood, who passed away in 2019.

Cameron and Katja met in 2014 and worked closely together. They regularly discussed client care and service delivery — including how therapy clinics could better meet the needs of the people they support. They had planned to one day open a clinic together, and Katja’s Place was created in that shared vision.

Finding your way through an autism diagnosis and working out what support is available can feel overwhelming. Autism What Next? is an Australian website designed to help autistic people, families and carers navigate what comes next. It provides information and practical resources across areas such as diagnosis, support, education, everyday life and planning for the future. We love resources that help families find clear information, practical ideas and the next steps that are right for their child and family — rather than feeling like they have to figure everything out on their own. 🌱 If you're looking for information or wondering “What do we do next?”, this is a useful website to explore. 🔗 https://www.autismwhatnext.com.au/ #ChildrensOT #OccupationalTherapy #Autism #NeuroAffirming #AutismSupport #ParentSupport #AutismResources

Sometimes a song can help us see things from a different perspective. 💙 This short, light-hearted song explores some of the ways children with ADHD and autism (ASD) may experience the world differently — from differences in attention and sensory experiences to the way they communicate, learn and interact. We love resources like this when they give families and children an opportunity to talk about differences in a positive and approachable way. Every child experiences the world differently, and understanding those differences can help us create environments where children feel accepted and supported to be themselves. 🎶 Have a listen and see what conversations it might spark! https://www.facebook.com/reel/1305900781420859 #ChildrensOT #OccupationalTherapy #ADHD #Autism #Neurodiversity #NeuroAffirming #ParentSupport
